The Holiday Farm

Experience a holiday marked by the slow rhythm of a farmer's world: in a traditional farmhouse, surrounded by the historic vineyards of the Annunziata, pampered by a warm and family welcome.

Hi I’m Franca, Alessandro’s mom, and I manage the agriturismo holiday farm: I welcome guests and I prepare breakfast.

Come and visit us for a truly unique and relaxing experience, surrounded by the wonders of our territory and taste the products that our region has to offer.

The Farmhouse

Ours is a holiday farm like they once used to be: a family-friendly welcome and a warm setting where you’ll feel right at home.

The Rooms

Upon your arrival, I will personally welcome you to show you the house and accompany you to your room.

We have five comfortable, country-style rooms, with terracotta floors and brick vaults.

Each room has a kitchen (or a kitchenette) complete with everything you need: fridge, stove, dishwasher and a set of dishes, glasses and tableware, table and chairs.

Outside you’ll find a portico, overlooking our garden, where you can spend your relaxing hours in peace and quiet.

All our guests get a rich breakfast, which I personally prepare, while trying to satisfy all tastes.

Tea, milk, coffee, cakes and brioches for those looking for the typical Italian breakfast; cheeses, bread and cold cuts (strictly local) for those with “international” palates, and fresh fruit, yoghurt and juices for those who want the “healthy” option.

The Location

Our agriturismo holiday farm is located in Località Annunziata, a small hamlet set in the hills, a few kilometers from the historic center of La Morra.

An Unforgettable Panorama

The location allows you to enjoy a beautiful view of the typical hilly landscape of the Langhe, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

From our garden one can admire the legendary Cedro del Libano, a centuries-old tree; a token of love between Costanzo Falletti di Rodello and Eulalia Della Chiesa, under whose shade our older vineyards, the Gattera, sink their roots.

Slightly to the right stands the historic Montezemolo estate and the Arborina hill, where the Barolo “cru” is produced, along with the Gattera one of the most prestigious in La Morra.

A real “full immersion” in the world of Barolo, in its history and traditions, depicted by the great vineyards surrounding our home.

A strategic location for those who are on holiday and wish to relax: away from the bustle of the “town” life of La Morra, immersed in nature, but only a 10-minute drive from the major inhabited areas.

Its History

The property was originally an old manor house, built on three floors.

When we bought it in 2000, it was in a state of complete abandonment: neglect and time had left deep signs, though fortunately they had not affected the structural integrity.

Three years of work were needed in order to bring it back to its ancient splendor. My husband Nico, did all the work himself: a very demanding task, but one which has given us great satisfaction.

One of the priorities of the renovation work was to maintain the ancient Piedmontese style of its origins, enhancing the distinctive features of traditional architecture while respecting the original construction.

We therefore kept the typical exposed-brick vaults and where possible wood was used as a structural element and we also used the traditional tiles for the roof.

The end result is that of a real farmhouse, in perfect harmony with the surrounding landscape and in strong communion with the traditions of our land.

Grazie.
